WHERE THE AI IS, AND IS NOT
AI reads your documents, finds the rule that applies and drafts the parts that can be drafted. The checks themselves are deterministic: the same inputs give the same result every time, with the clause cited. Nothing is approved by Gridmark. The network's engineer makes the decision, and Gridmark records it.

Connection assessment is engineering labour, and engineering labour is recurrent operating expenditure. What is a grid connection application?
The application you make to the electricity distribution network (the DNSP) to connect new or increased load, such as EV chargers, or generation, such as solar and batteries. Above the network's basic threshold it is a negotiated connection under Chapter 5A of the National Electricity Rules, with an offer clock of up to 65 business days that stops whenever information is missing.
Which network do I apply to?
The distributor for the site's address, not your retailer. Australia has sixteen: Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy and Essential Energy in NSW; Evoenergy in the ACT; AusNet, CitiPower, Powercor, United Energy and Jemena in Victoria; Energex and Ergon in Queensland; SA Power Networks; TasNetworks; Western Power and Horizon Power in WA; Power and Water in the NT. Your electricity bill names it, and the checker above lists them by state.
How does Gridmark make applying simpler, faster and cheaper?
It identifies the pathway and evidence the network publishes for your size, assembles the pack in that network's own forms, and checks every requirement against the network's thresholds before you lodge, citing the clause. Most delay comes from wrong pathways, missing documents and restarted clocks. Gridmark removes those, not the regulated waits themselves.
Does Gridmark approve my connection?
No. Gridmark checks, presents and records. The network's engineer makes every decision, against the network's own rules and thresholds. That is the condition on which networks can adopt a shared layer at all.
Is it only for EV chargers?
No. EV charging, data centres and other large loads are load connections; solar and batteries are generation connections; many sites are both. The checker covers all of them. High-power charging and hybrid sites are the first demonstration archetypes; the evidence model and rules engine are connection-type agnostic.
What does it cost?
The connection check is free. Pricing for assembling, checking and lodging a pack is being set with the first demonstration partners; ask for early access from the checker.
